The facilities at Milaidhoo Maldives include: an infinity pool, three restaurants, chef's table experience, two bars, 24-hour in-villa dining, destination dining, spa with four over-water treatment suites, holistic treatment menu, organic and natural spa therapies, and over-water yoga pavilion hosting daily yoga and meditation sessions; 24-hour gym with yoga classes, library, games room with board games and billiards, complimentary Wi-Fi access, weddings, honeymoons, engagements, and babymoons; 24-hour Island Host service, children over the age of nine are welcome, boutique, clinic, arrival jetty, and 24-hour reception with concierge service and luggage storage. Activities available include: water sports including windsurfing, snorkelling, kayaking, catamarans, and stand-up paddle boards at the lagoon and house reef; a PADI dive centre offering diver training and continuing education programmes, house reef diving, boat diving, private diving, night diving, fluo night dives, Manta Ray diving, and nitrox; excursions such as dolphin cruises at sunset with champagne and canapés aboard a luxury craft and sailing away to a private sandbank for a feast; learning about the area's wildlife in the company of the resident marine biologist; boarding the big game fishing boat to go out on the high seas looking for wahoo, sailfish, swordfish, giant trevally, or marlin for the catch and release programme, fishing by hand from a traditional Maldivian fishing boat, or visiting Hanifaru Bay to catch sight of manta rays and go snorkelling with whale sharks.
Milaidhoo Moments include: joining a Maldivian fisherman to learn how it's done in the Maldives; letting a Maldivian islander personally guide your through their culture and history; accepting the chef's invitation to pick some local herbs, discuss Maldivian cuisine, and create a new dish together; joining the mixologist for a tasting session and to see if you can concoct something original to feature on the co*cktail menu; and spending a night on an isolated sandbank in the Indian Ocean, transformed with the comforts of your Milaidhoo villa.
Room Facilities
Milaidhoo Maldives has 50 guest villas and residences across four categories; ranging from Water Villas with Private Pool through to Two Bedroom Ocean Residences with Pool. Water Villas with Private Pool sit on stilts over the ocean and are kitted out with a thatched roof, huge sundeck with a private freshwater infinity pool, Maldivian-style swing couch, sun loungers, large parasol, dining table with chairs, a large shaded daybed, and steps down into the lagoon; bathroom with a generous-sized bathtub and tropical rain shower with a glass wall overlooking the sea and luxury-size toiletries by Acqua Di Parma; king-size, ocean-facing bed, concealed flat-screen television with streaming services, dedicated wine chiller, full-sized silent fridge and minibar, coffee machine and kettle with gourmet coffee capsules and premium tea bags, daily fresh fruits and water, ceiling fan, individually-controlled air-conditioning, personalised welcome gift and welcome fruits, bottle of champagne on arrival, and Wi-Fi Internet. Ocean Restaurant is your daily go-to for a tropical breakfast and a casual-style lunch and dinner with an array of international dishes from the a la carte menu. Ba'theli Lounge & Restaurant is set on a boat in the lagoon and offers gourmet fare inspired by dishes from the Maldivian Spice Route; expect to find indoor seating, air-conditioning, glass floors, and seafood and traditional local flavours reinterpreted for the 21st century.
The Shoreline Grill is where you’ll uncover simply cooked and beautifully presented superb meats and freshly-caught local fish and seafood; you can also experience Shoreline Grill Chef's Table where your own private chef will cook you the perfect dinner at the teppanyaki-style table from a choice of set or a la carte menus and Shoreline Grill Wine Room where you can chill out with a flight of wines and canapés or ask the sommelier to organise a specialist wine tasting for you.
Compass Pool Bar offers a tempting drinks list of fresh juices, infused waters, co*cktails, and light meals such as gourmet pizzas from the wood-fired oven, bento boxes, fresh salads, and sandwiches by day; before transforming into a laid-back chill out lounge in the evening. Destination Dining served anywhere on the island: at the beach, on your villa’s or residence’s deck, or exclusively on the nearby sandbank and 24-hour In-Villa Dining from a varied menu add to your culinary experiences.
Gourmet Plan - The Milaidhoo Gourmet Plan is a dine-around meal plan offering outstanding dining and drinks throughout the day at the restaurants and bars. Enjoy your daily breakfast at leisure and follow it with an indulgent set menu lunch at Ocean restaurant; savour an a la carte light meal selection at Compass Pool Bar, and then move on to an a la carte dinner in either Ocean or The Shoreline Grill. You’ll also be invited to enjoy dinner at the signature restaurant, Ba’theli, once every five days. All day long in the restaurants and bars you’re also welcome to enjoy a selection of international and premium brands of spirits, beers, and co*cktails from the selection as well as fresh juices, soft drinks, mineral water, teas, coffees, milkshakes, and smoothies and a premium selection of wines, hand-picked by the sommelier.
