John Terry is never far from controversy - even when he hasn't kicked a ball.
To his immense frustration, the Chelsea captain was forced to watch the Champions League final from the stands, suited and booted, after being suspended.
But he by no means let that disappointment cloud his victory celebrations when he suddenly appeared in full club kit, complete with shin pads, to lift the European Cup.

Some criticised the England defender for receiving the trophy with the skipper on the day, Frank Lampard, even though he had played no part in the thrilling win over Bayern Munich on Saturday.
And now, as is inevitable in today's digital age, his 'trespassing' antics have become the latest source of fun for the internet pranksters.
