Grease the Crock Pot with nonstick cooking spray. Place pork chops into the bottom of the Crock Pot.

For this recipe, I used thick-cut chops. And I used bone-in pork chops because boneless pork chops will not produce as much liquid. For this recipe, the bone-in works great.

How Do You Keep Pork Chops From Drying Out In A Crock Pot?

I use bone-in pork chops as they are less likely to dry out. Don’t cook the pork chops as long, and they will not dry out.

I used thick pork chops for this recipe and cooked them for approximately five hours, and they were moist and tender pork chops.

Can I Use Regular Ranch Dressing Instead Of Dry On Pork Chops In The Slow Cooker?

Yes, you can use regular ranch dressing. Just pour it over the pork chops and mix it with the condensed soup for another easy pork chop recipe.

Add Some Variety to Your Pork Dinner

  • Apple and Onion Twist: Before adding your pork chops to the Crock Pot, layer the bottom with thinly sliced apples and onions. The apples give off sweetness, and the savory flavor of the onions will infuse into the pork chops during cooking, creating a delightful taste that goes well with the creaminess of the chicken soup and the flavor of the ranch dressing mix.
  • Spicy Kick with Green Chilies: To add a bit of heat, mix in a can of diced green chilies with your ranch dressing and chicken soup mixture. The chilies will give a subtle spiciness that complements the pork chops without overwhelming them. If you’re adventurous, you can also add some diced jalapeños on top.
  • Mushroom and Garlic Variation: For a more earthy and rich flavor, add a cup of sliced mushrooms and two minced garlic cloves to your Crock Pot. The mushrooms tend to absorb the flavors of the soup and ranch mix, creating a deliciously complex sauce.
