Baked Italian Meatballs! Classic Italian-American style meatballs (1)

A while back we went to this fancy-schmancy Italian joint at Epcot, Tutto Italia Ristorante!

Beautiful restaurant, but like everything at Epcot – pricey place!

The dinner was good, not anything extraordinary, but tasty.

My Hubby ordered this classic Italian Meatballs pasta dish and the size of the meatballs killed me.

For $$ you get 6 quarter size balls. No Way! Not for a grown human being, and a Man in this case.

So I’ve decided to make these at home and make them ADULT size!

HOW TO MAKE ITALIAN MEATBALLS

In a large bowl mix the ingredients for the meatballs: eggs, Italian style breadcrumbs, milk, parmesan cheese, olive oil, and spices. Mix and then add ground beef.

Note: if you like Fluffier meatballs just add more Italian style breadcrumbs, milk and parmesan cheese.

I prefer to bake meatballs, it saves on time and they keep the round shape better.

Bake in the preheated at 400F oven for 20 to 25 minutes, depending on the size of your meatballs.

Transfer to a baking dish. I prefer to use ceramic baking dishes since they bake beautifully and so easy to keep with foil on top and clean afterward.

Just pulled mine from the oven, I used my #2 Cookie scoop for uniformity, medium, not a large meatball. Made 40. Baked in 20 mins, beautiful golden brown. I sampled one, very flavorful, held together well. Easy clean up. I stopped at that stage as I am going to freeze them. Freeze first on cookie sheet, then I put four to a bag for husband and I. Thank you for such a easy and tasty meatball.
