What Kind of Buns to Use for Sliders

King’s Hawaiian rolls or Hawaiian rolls of similar size and thickness work best to make sweet cheeseburger sliders. We find that store brand Hawaiian rolls typically aren’t as thick or as big which can throw of the proportion of meat and topping used in the recipe.

Tips & Tricks

  • Fully cook ground beef before spreading on sliders
  • Loose meat is much quicker to use on sliders than patties
  • If patties are desired preformed patties could be cut into smaller pieces instead of forming each one by hand
  • Leave rolls hooked together to save time while preparing and baking
  • Precooked bacon bits can be used, but frying bacon and then making ground beef in the bacon drippings adds so much flavor
  • For very mild palates cut the amount of granulated garlic and Italian seasoning in the glaze in half
  • Shredded cheese OR slices of cheese can be doubled for a very cheesy cheeseburger slider
  • To add even more flavor add some Homemade Burger Sauce on top of the cheese
