Well, the good news is that just because you have a small entryway doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice stunning looks. You can have just as incredible of a front entrance when working with a small space as you can with a large entryway.

Remember how I said that adding personality into your entryway was one of my favorite tips? Well, nothing screams “welcome to MY home” like a unique console table that is undoubtedly you!
And the best thing about console tables? They come in all shapes and sizes, so if you opt for a console table in your entryway, it doesn’t matter how small of a space you’re working with, you’re pretty guaranteed to find something that will fit your space.
This is my entryway and I struggled for the longest time to find a console table that fits this tiny wall. I wanted it to be unique, warm, and inviting. After weeks of research, I finally stumbled upon this console table from Target with a weave-like pattern. I LOVE this piece, and I’m so happy this is the first thing that greets my guests when walking in the door!

This one is for welcoming entryway ideas – if you’re truly wanting to capture the homey vibe, an entryway rug is essential! Rugs tend to cozy up any space, no matter how small it is! Rugs also come in all shapes and sizes, there are so many beautiful options out there. This could also be another way to show off some personality! Just make sure it goes with the rest of the entryway.
3. Turn Your Garage Into Your Entryway
This might be more for you than your guests, but a lot of homeowners have attached garages. Have you ever thought about turning the space around your garage door to your home into a beautiful entryway? Well, now I’m sure you are! Your garage doesn’t have to be a boring place for just your cars and outdoor supplies. You can make it welcoming too, which makes this an amazing small entryway idea!
4. Paint with Neutral (and Slightly Warmer) Colors
One very important thing to think about when looking for small front entryway ideas is the color of your walls. If you’re dealing with a small space, then you will want to stay away from dark paint colors. Why? Dark paint colors tend to make a small space feel even smaller – and that’s the opposite of why you’re here!
My recommendation is to paint your entryway neutral, or even slightly warmer neutral colors. That includes off-whites or light grays. That’s not to say you can’t create a mood with darker-colored accents in your entryway, but for the walls, you’ll want to keep it light and airy.

Mirrors give off the illusion that you have more room than you actually do – trust me, I use mirrors wherever I can. Whether it’s bedrooms or bathrooms, mirrors are the answer to small spaces.
Plus there’s nothing more inviting than your guest seeing themselves in the mirror lol jk. But in all seriousness, mirrors in the entryway just make sense because you can get your looks on point one last time before leaving the house. And your guests can do the same upon entering your house!

If you have a long hallway, maybe a bench could look good on either side. Not working with your layout? Try an even smaller bench. Something just big enough for you or your guests to sit on to put on their shoes!
9. Hooks Are An Elegant Way to Store Coats in the Open

Now I know what you’re thinking, you want small entryway ideas that are cheap – and running electricity might not be super inexpensive.
Have no fear – there is an amazing hack I’ve seen out there where you can pair battery-operated puck lights with beautiful sconces and get the same effect. It’s a little less of a permanent solution, but it’ll sure save a lot of money. I had used this idea in my basem*nt for a little bit but ended up totally switching up the space.
They looked like professionally installed sconces and I was able to control the puck lights with a remote. How cool!

There is no rule saying you can’t use a side table for your small entryway! Sometimes a console table or entryway table is a little bit too big and bulky and you don’t have that kind of space.
